It should. We probably want to pick a few dates and see what works best for everyone's schedule. I'll suggest August 29 or September 5. Those are both Saturdays. Start somewhere between 7-8 pm EST? Run the party for 2 hours or so.

Fine by me. I'll have influence to give away. This should still be an open event, maybe I can make a 'banner' or flier, and post it on the CoX RP side of the forums, or whatever.
We should suggest contests and trivia, etc. And someone could be in charge of each contest, etc. Like, years ago I won a Pick-Up Line contest and ended up becoming a part of that SG, and now every year when they do their anniversary I host the Pick-Up line contest. I'm sure there's more I wanted to say but can't remember.
I'll add in later.

Still need feedback on a date, y'all! Think we should pick that first before deciding what we want to have during the event. And I agree, it should be open to the public.

I'm down for September 5th, personally. That gives people time to get settled into new schedules with classes/school reforming.

I'd prefer it to be on a weekend since classes are starting soon. The 5th isn't bad.

To be perfectly honest, right now I'm a little disappointed in people who expressed so much interest/need for this aren't coming into voice out. This is not just a leader thing, guys. This is an 'everyone' thing.

I would definitely like to see some more feedback, but at this point we're getting a little close to the wire. It's Aug. 27, so we'd have less than 2 weeks to plan and advertise if we stuck with Sept. 5. I'm not sure if it's feasible to try and do this now, especially with people getting back into school. Some kind of group event is definitely still on the table but trying to do the "End of summer/back to school" may not work now.
Thoughts??
EDIT: Also, I just realized Sept. 5 is Labor Day weekend, and I won't be in town. Oopsy! The next weekend is a no-go for me too since it's LSU's first home game.
BUT OMG. WE SHOULD HAVE A TAILGATING PARTY!!

FOR LSU?! NO /WAY/. For the Longhorns? HELL YES.
And I couldn't agree more, Andy. Right now, I don't think we can make the September 5th cut, anyways. Our best bet for a theme would be a Halloween event. If people are upset/annoyed with the delay... well...
:Shrug?:

I think it's an awesome idea. People like very active groups, its the first thing that draws them besides the rp, so this is a good way to show that.
