Being guilty of it myself...
As a member of the peanut gallery, I think we should cap the number of characters a player can have at maybe 2 or 3. I know my reason for having so many involved in the krew is that this is where the RP is at, but it gives a deceptive size to the SG. We have a ton of members, but the actual player base is much smaller.
I'd like to suggest forming a second cadre for the TTP, a "reserves" if you would, for the collection of alts that may not be played so often. Perhaps you guys could make the main SG the teaching school, and locate the teachers, students and administrators there, and have the second SG be for the random characters and plain ol' heroes.
In this, the SG would not only reflect and retain the original purpose of the Tomorrow Project, but take on some aspects of both the extended X-Teams to the TTP's "X-Men" pastiche, as well as giving the SG a more "Justice League of America" feel. People can still have their characters involved, and as they can be coalitioned, the RP community within the SG can be retained.
No one has to get left out, and everyone can find a suitable place for their character. Another plus is there can be a streamlining of characters, and a straighter organization.
Thoughts, ideas?

Not a terrible idea, but I don't think it's necessary at this point in time. I think this early in the game, all that people are worried about is activity, and not numbers per se. Should the group start to fill out more and we're seeming to have a nearly full group, and we require more space, then I think it'd be a better time to make the move.
But as it stands, we're getting people, and we've got active people, and I think splitting the groups up this soon would send the wrong message. But for the future, it's definitely something to think about. Of course, this is just my opinion.

That's something we've talked about too, Gabby. I totally agree with your concerns, but I think for *now* we're going to let alts in as people roll them. The sg cap is 150 members, so we don't have to worry about space so much at the moment. BUT. It could definitely be something to consider in the future. Which means I also kinda agree with Max too. Thanks for your input! We'll keep an eye on things and see what's what as we get closer to the sg cap.

Basically what the others have said... not a concern now, but something I would definitely be behind should we ever get to that number of members.

Wow, hey! This happened way faster than I thought it would! We reached the limit cap tonight, but we're gonna get it sorted out in the next few days. Stay tuned!

Okay, here's the plan. We're going to use the Neverenders sg as our reserve group. You can keep four alts in the Tomorrow Project for now. I'm hoping that number doesn't change, but we *may* have to scale it back to three at some point. But for now, let's try 4 alts since we really want everyone to have a good range of options.
You can choose whoever you want those alts to be. We're not going to mandate them. But, if you've got 6 alts in the group, and aren't sure who to move, I'd recommend higher level, non-student and non-teacher types first. Students and teachers should probably be given priority membership since you know...we're a shcool. But! If you only have one character and he/she is just a hero looking for a home, then don't feel like you have to move them to the NE.
So...four alts! Your choices completely. Right now, Empyre, Mic Check, and Cloudgazer are in the NE for invites. (Which reminds me, Hunter! You need to get someone in thar too!) I'll try to log on in the evening to grab people as needed.
Also! Let's please please please start using coalition chat so the people we move to the NE aren't left out of our rp. (I forget too, so let's help remind each other.)
One last thing, this was an idea thrown around briefly, but we haven't much time to discuss it, and I want to get people's opinions. The NE has a base and a nice stash of prestige. Graff said he was fine with us doing whatever we want with the base. I was thinking we could turn the NE - which is ICly an airship - into our living quarters. Meaning, it would mostly consist of dorms. Probably a kitchen and small common room. (Plus the bridge and a few other things.) But primarily this would be our dorms.
If we do this, it allows us to have way more dormitories to accomodate more characters and frees up space in the main base for classrooms. Since we're coalitioned with the NE, you'd always have access to the "dorms" as long as you're on a NE/TTP character.
How do you guys feel about that?

I have no qualms with it personally. I like the idea of dorms.
