Probably won't get the meeting's summary up until tomorrow sometime, but I started on the forum re-organization. (And even managed to spell Thanatopsis correctly I think!) I was thinking we might want to group the heroes rp together and then the villains rp together too. I looked at having 4 separate boards for each, but that got to be a lot of forums. I was overwhelmed by choice and forced to decide nothing. It was awful.
Then again, if someone joins Sky Daggers, they may not want to wade through stuff for Thana. And people would have to post which group the story's for in the title of the thread. That could be equally annoying. Ideas on general organization of the forums?!
Also, the names of the boards could probably be spiced up a little. I'm not feeling particularly clever at the moment.
Next thing. Mod privileges on the boards. I've found people tend to associate forum title colors with in-game responsibility. Do we want 7-8 admins on the forums? (Meaning, each leader = admin on the forums. Officers could be global moderators.) I'm really not particular, so what do you think is easiest?
Last thing. Go read the Roleplaying Guidelines in the general information category! We wrote those for TTP, but we can easily swap out nouns and keep everything else. (Assuming you agree with those guidelines.) Feedback here I think if you want to add/suggest stuff.
Hurrah!

Maybe subdivide the forums again for each side? I dunno, you said you don't want more forums listed, but I kinda like it that way. And anything overlapped could be theoretically double-posted to all involved parties.
Also, the guidelines I like, despite the mild cheese that is the all for fun and fun for all start and ends. I don't have time for a full check, but there weren't any typos, and that definitely covered the main things that should be covered.
As for mod-whatever, I don't really care much. I mean, too many mods is slightly less of a problem than too few mods, when it comes to making sure the forum is running smoothly, but again, I kinda wanna hear other's opinions on that.

Gah, a million apologies. My internet freaked out and I deleted the wrong category. Got the heroes version instead of the villain version. So, so, so sorry I got some of the posts that were in the biog section from a month or so ago.

The summary of our meeting on Sunday, September 27, 2009. I think I got most of the big points, but I might have missed something. Feel free to add or voice concerns, ideas, etc.
1. Consolidation:
The loss of a number of friends and roleplayers to other games and/or life has left a much smaller group remaining in CoH/V. To expand our base of friends and develop lively rp groups, we decided to focus our efforts collectively into creating a roleplay community versus a serious of individual groups with no real cohesion. Doing this allows us to have groups with a core membership and expand outward to include new people.
To further that effort, we are going to focus on two groups heroside and two groups villainside. Each group will be run by an independent leadership that will make all final decisions about the group they are directing. Leaders may serve as directors for more than one group or only one. Officers may also serve in multiple groups or a single group. Regardless of how many groups a person/officer is in, we will all provide support and communication for each group when and where it is possible.
Recruitment into one group does not gaurantee membership in another group, but we will definitely support and encourage people to look at the other three groups if they have found a place in one. General roleplay guidelines and removal policies will be shared by each group, but beyond that, it will be up to each set of leaders and officers to determine the other policies that will affect their groups.
2. Heroside groups:
Tomorrow Project - We're changing the concept of the group just a bit to make it more accomodating for heroes which may not fit into the student or teacher theme. The Project will now be an overall heroing community that is funded by outside sources. The mission of the group is to prepare future heroes while making sure they have a future to fight for. The school will remain as part of the Tomorrow Project, but it is not the only purpose of the group anymore. Students, teachers, and heroes alike will work together to make sure that Paragon City and the world beyond is safer.
The Neverenders - A group that uses the Neverender as its base of operations. Members are committing to making the world a better place, but they may not necessarily follow the letter of the law all the time.
3. Villainside groups:
Sky Daggers - A group of pirates and criminals. They steal, they cheat, they lie, but they're not necessarily "classic" supervillains.
Thanatopsis - Darker in theme than the Sky Daggers. Members of the group are either bribed or blackmailed into it.
4. Communication:
We're going to use the Tomorrow Project's boards for all four groups to keep the community together as much as possible. We also have a single global channel for all four groups.
5. Stuff!
We're probably going to want a brief description for each group in its own section or possibly in a single section at the top of the boards. The NE, Sky Daggers, and Thana will all need to decide what to do about recruitment and putting new members into the group. Meaning do they want to do applications and if so, then what kind of application.
We also decided to continue with the Halloween event on Oct. 25, 2009, assuming the Cape can DJ the event.

I think that to seperate the two evil groups a little better, the pirates should be focusing more on the, well, pirate thing. Steal and party sorts. While Thanatopsis should be more of a Criminal Syndicate/Mob sort, who are more direct/have a plan sorts. Professionals, if you will.

Okay, gonna try getting in touch with the Cape to help Rae out a bit with the Halloween party. Which I still think is a good idea! Also, Lazy mentioned Graff mentioning including applicants in a team as part of the interview. Which I think is also a stellar idea. One of the other sg's I'm in actually has a 2 week trial period to see if everyone likes each other.

Ya I really like that, I basically think after 2 weeks some of the officers or whatever should all comment on the player's app and approve or disapprove it. That way the leader can say "Hey you don't really fit." or just be like "Ya I've heard good things."
