First Tomorrow Project Event - FEEDBACK?!

Okay, so here's my idea for The Tomorrow Project's first event.

I say, when the leaders are ready for open RECRUITMENT that we go with the BBQ idea some of the members had. Do it in Talos or Faultline's poolsides, like Andy suggested. Also, we'll make a real party out of it.

I'm sure I have some influence I can scrounge up to give away and have contests with. We'd have a theme, obviously. Swimwear, and maybe take it in character with some of the members 'passing out fliers', and maybe I can create a little jpeg of an invitation to the event and it can be tinypic'd so we can link it ICly.

That way TTP's name gets out there, new people can come in and get a feel for the RP, possibly get some new members. The day of the event, broadcast it in Pocket D, Atlas Park, and where ever we hold the event. I'll try and make a quick TTP Virtureverse with a link to the forums, and a link to the invitation.

And during the event have costume contests, trivia, and any other ideas you guys might have to make it a blast! At the end a pvp event for the pvp'ers in us!

I like this idea, Rae, and I was glad to hear you suggest it. Official, organized, open recruitment is probably a few weeks away, but it would be nice to do this as an end of summer bash possibly. Late August or maybe early September. That would give us plenty of time to organize, advertise, and get the recruitment processes up and running for new members.

I like Faultline as a place since there's some neat pools there for swimming. The boardwalk in Talos is also cool and there's an arena in that zone if there's interest in pvp. I can also offer up some influence for prizes if we wanna go a costume or trivia contest.

Sounds great. Then maybe since that seems a few weeks off, we can do a SG-only party one weekend. Run TFs people wanted to do, pvp (if anyone wants) run missions, then some RP afterwards in the base.

And this is spamming, but Andy, that's a GREAT idea for end of summer, considering TTP IS a school. It's a great way to say, 'Hey, we're an academy, too' for those people who really like to timeline things in game - they might be seeking a school of sorts for their toons.

We're excited about getting things going too! Nice to see so much interest, and I really look forward to seeing everyone pitch in and help out.

Also, the BBQ was originally Jason and Aaron's idea, so they totes deserve credit! All I did was suggest we make it a huge event because I have trouble doing small things. XD

I really like the end of summer bash idea, but keeping in theme of the whole school bit I'm assuming the next event would you know, be classes starting later that month? Because that's something easy to make into an event the official opening, you know?
